From now on, a long-serving senior UBS manager is placing his expertise at the disposal of the Geneva asset management firm 1875 Finance.

Founded in 2006, asset manager firm 1875 Finance has taken on Markus Schoch as Senior Market Advisor for Spanish clients, the Geneva-based firm recently announced.

The 49-year-old has 17 years of active service for UBS in Geneva under his belt, the last ten years as Senior Investment Advisor. In addition to this he sat on the board of UBS’ 20-billion-franc pension fund.

Office in Hong Kong

At the beginning of his career at UBS, Schoch spent three years stationed in Madrid. He looked after the local clientele in his role as Relationship Manager.

1875 Finance employs 60 people and has some six billion francs in funds under management, according to its own reports. Apart from Geneva, the financial house has a subsidiary in Luxembourg and an office in Hong Kong.
