Two years after leaving his job at Fidelity Switzerland, Alfred Strebel is back in business. He has been appointed to the board of a prominent Zurich-based asset manager.

Alfred Strebel was named member of the board of Alpinum Investment Management, the company said in a statement today.

Alpinum Investment is offering investment solutions for family offices and wealth managers as well as an investment platform for fund managers.

Working With Gruebel

Strebel worked for 15 years at Fidelity Investments International. When he abruptly left the company at the end of 2013, he was member of the Central European operating committee and country boss Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe .

The manager started his career at Credit Suisse, working for Oswald J. Gruebel.

Alpinum Investment also elected Patrick Ghali to the board. Ghali is a managing partner and co-founder of Sussex Partners.
