Unigestion, a Swiss asset manager based in Geneva, has managed to sign a multi-million dollar contract in Canada.

Unigestion has received a management mandate from Saskatchewan Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) for assets worth C$250 million – about 190 million Swiss francs. The company confirmed the contract when contacted by finews.ch.

«It's great to be able to match the Saskatchewan WCB with out risk-management-approach,» said Francis Chartier, responsible for institutional clients at Unigestion.

Saskatchewan is a prairie province in west-central Canada. The insurance institution WCB offers legal aid protection to employees.

Unigestion is managing about 1.4 billion francs in client assets in Canada.
