Edmond de Rothschild has replaced the head of its asset management. The new hire once was a prominent banker at RobecoSAM.

Edmond de Rothschild Group has appointed Roderick Munsters as head of its asset management business, the company said late on Monday.

Munsters is replacing Laurent Tignard, who has decided to leave the bank to pursue new professional opportunities, the bank said. Munsters will report to Ariane de Rothschild, the chairwoman of the executive committee, and will be part of the committee as global CEO Asset Management.

Munsters, 53, was chief executive of the Robeco Group from 2009 through 2015. He choose to leave the company voluntarily. He was also in charge of the units RobecoSAM in Zurich and Harbor Capital Advisors in Chicago. During his tenure, Robeco Switzerland was integrated into SAM. In 2013, SAM was renamed RobecoSAM.
