Lombard Odier has lost an influential capital partner, the latest in a series of high-profile exits from the Geneva-based private bank.

Jean-Jacques Hamel left the Swiss private bank in April, sources told finews.ch. A spokesman for the bank confirmed Hamel's exit.

Hamel, a high-ranking client relationship manager in Geneva, was part of a small group of capital partners which make up Lombard Odier's second tier of leadership. The bank is run by six managing partners, including descendants of its founding families. Hamel was also a managing director of the bank.

Exit Amid Major Ructions

The departure of Hamel, who was most recently chairman of the bank's French-speaking market, comes alongside major ructions behind the scenes at Lombard Odier.

Hamel was one of several capital partners including B.V. and and J.B. who recently handed in their notice, however the latter two later rescinded their resignation after a sweetened offer from Lombard Odier, which the bank denies.
