SIX's exchange regulation is being entrusted to a new pair of hands as current head Rodolfo Straub prepares for retirement.

Corinne Riguzzi will take over SIX's exchange regulation from next year, the stock exchange said. Riguzzi, a lawyer, has already been approved by SIX's board and vetted by financial regulator Finma.

She replaces Rodolfo Straub, who is transferring responsibility for exchange regulation in view of his retirement. The 42-year-old Riguzzi has run the SIX's surveillance and enforcement since 2012, and is Straub's deputy.

As head of exchange regulation, she is responsible for enforcing rules on SIX issuers and participants.
