Zuercher Kantonalbank is losing its Swiss banking analyst to Geneva-based private bank Mirabaud. His replacement is a prominent veteran brokerage analyst most recently with J. Safra Sarasin.

Andreas brun 160Andreas Brun (pictured left), who has been ZKB's banking analyst for the past four years, has left the bank for a similar position at private bank Mirabaud, according to finews.ch inquiries.

His replacement is a familiar face in Swiss brokerage: Javier Lodeiro, currently with J. Safra Sarasin. Lodeiro moves to the cantonal bank in October, a source familiar with the move said.

A spokesman for ZKB confirmed Brun's departure and Lodeiro's hire.

Lodeiro's departure from Safra Sarasin comes several months after the private bank shut down its in-house equity brokerage for private clients, as reported exclusively by finews.ch

Former Leu, Oppenheim Analyst

Brun has already left ZKB, where he took over coverage for UBS and Credit Suisse in 2013 when Andreas Venditti left for Bank Vontobel. He was formerly a mergers-and-acquisitions consultant for Remaco Merger in Basel.

Javier Lodeiro 160Lodeiro (pictured left) is a longtime banking expert who previously worked for Bank Leu and Clariden Leu, which were later integrated into Credit Suisse, and Sal. Oppenheim, following an initial stint with Bank Sarasin.

Brun's departure comes as ZKB also loses its chief strategist and economist, Anastassios Frangulidis, to Pictet Asset Management.
