An analyst who was a much-cited expert in banking and insurance matters takes his leave. But he's not yet fit for retirement proper.

Rainer Skierka has decided to leave his position as banking and insurance analyst at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, he said in a letter to the media today. His new challenge: active retirement.

Instead of working full-time at a bank, the analyst will provide his knowledge about the financial services industry to Research Partners, an analytics boutique.

Research Partners

Skierka has worked in the industry for the past three decades and at J. Safra Sarasin for nine years. He featured regularly in reports by «Bloomberg News», «CNBC» and other TV-outlets. Before his employment at J. Safra Sarasin, Skierka worked for UBS.

Research Partners is a company providing research about small- and medium-sized Swiss companies. It was founded in 2014 by Martin Coninx, Bjoern Zern and Michel Wagnières and is based in Zurich.
