A former Rothschild & Co Asset Management executive is taking over as head of Switzerland, returning after a four-year stint at other firms.

Gil Platteau is returning to Rothschild & Co Asset Management Europe, becoming the country head for Switzerland, the firm announced Tuesday.

The executive previously had a similar role at the firm from 2013 to 2017, subsequently moving to Mercer Global Investments Europe and then to Northern Trust Switzerland.

His «return confirms our commitment to Swiss investors and our determination to drive growth,» said Quentin Piloy, Head of Northern Europe at Rothschild & Co Asset Management Europe.

Platteau gained wide experience over his 25-year career. Prior to his stints at Barclays, Rothschild, Mercer and Northern Trust, he was responsible for risk management at Hoffmann-La Roche's treasury and pension fund and worked for BNP Paribas (Switzerland) in Basel.

Rothschild & Co Asset Management Europe is the asset management division of Rothschild & Co Bank. It has been providing related investment solutions for more than 15 years.
