Edmond de Rothschild Switzerland is promoting internal talent to the head of the Swiss Market in Geneva.

Matías Marietan takes over as head of Swiss Market Geneva for Edmond de Rothschild Switzerland, effective April 1, according to a statement Monday from the private bank.

In doing so, the firm is promoting an internal talent who joined the bank in 2008, to support the further development of the private bank in Switzerland.

Experience with Entrepreneurs

Marietan brings experience with entrepreneurs, executives, and private clients to his new role. When he started at the firm 15 years ago, he began in the Forex-Treasury department before joining the Europe/Switzerland group of the Private Banking Division in 2012.

As Head of the Swiss market in Geneva, Marietan is responsible for recruiting new teams and developing service offerings for onshore clients, according to the statement.

To achieve the goals, he will be able to draw on the experience of two senior private bankers, Michel Lusa, and Yves Augsburger.
