The new country head of EY, Marcel Stalder, has begun his tenure with a reshuffle of his management team. The aim is a stronger focus on sectors.
Marcel Stalder's first day as CEO at auditing and consulting firm EY was Friday. His first move: shuffling top management in Switzerland, according to a statement from EY.
Stalder plans to expand the top management to 11 partners:
Marcel Stalder, CEO
Louis Siegrist, chief finance officer
Andreas Blumer, chief risk officer
Stefan Marc Schmid, chief talent officer
Auditing
Alessandro Miolo, head of industrials
Patrick Schwaller, head of financials
Advisory
Matthias Buente, head of industrials
Adrian Widmer, head of financial firms
Tax and Legal Advisory
Daniel Gentsch, head industrials
Thomas Brotzer, head financials
Transaction Advisory
Stefan Roesch
Stalder is also introducing a new advisory method – transformational advisory. EY operates under the assumption that most branches are in transformation, triggered by digitization. Firms will in future be more closely linked up and offer solutions across sectors, according to EY, which wants to support this process. Stalder plans to vault EY into the top position in Switzerland by 2022.
Stalder was named head of EY Switzerland in March, replacing Bruno Chiomento, who is now chairman of the board. Stalder has run the financial services practice until now, a job he will retain as CEO.
