Invesco PowerShares, the ETF-unit of Invesco, has appointed a new manager for its Swiss business. The banker joins from Deutsche Bank.

Invesco PowerShares is a global provider of exchange-traded funds. The company appointed Nima Pouyan as the head of Invesco PowerShares Switzerland, it said in a statement today.

Pouyan is responsible for the further development of the business in Switzerland with a special focus on smart-beta strategies. He will liaise closely with the financial-services industry and institutional partners.

Joining From Deutsche

The head of PowerShares Switzerland reports to Thibaud de Cherisey, head of Invesco PowerShares CE Distribution.

Pouyan currently works at Deutsche Bank. He is responsible for the distribution of passive investment products in Switzerland and the Middle East in the position of vice president.

He previously worked as a manager at DWS and Deutsche Bank Wealth Management.
