U.S. asset manager Franklin Templeton has appointed a new country head for Switzerland. He will replace Jens Kruse, who is leaving the company at the end of the month.

Franklin Templeton, based in California, today said that Patrick Lutz will be the new country head for the Swiss operations of the investment firm.

Based in the Zurich offices of the company, Lutz will assume the lead over local sales and marketing teams and work to further expand the retail and institutional business in Switzerland. Lutz will report to Reinhard Berben, senior director for Central Europe at Franklin Templeton Investments.

Nine Years at the Company

Lutz has been with the firm for nine years and worked in various functions. Most recently, he was head of retail sales in Switzerland.

Before he joined the U.S. firm, Lutz was a sales manager at Schroder Bank as well as fund analyst and portfolio manager at Zuercher Kantonalbank. He is a Certified International Investment Analyst.

Lutz replaces Jens Kruse, who will leave Franklin Templeton at the end of the month, the company confirmed when contacted by finews.com.
