Zuercher Kantonalbank has appointed an asset management expert to lead multi-asset solutions at the Swisscanto Invest unit. She joins from Credit Suisse.

Zuercher Kantonalbank named Anja Hochberg head of multi asset solutions at the Swisscanto Invest division. She will start in her new job in January 2020 and report to Iwan Deplazes, head of Swisscanto Invest.

Hochberg will be in charge of multi-asset strategies and develop the services offering of the company in this segment. She replaces Alexander Schoeb, who received a new position within the company.

Ex-Head of Macro Research at Credit Suisse

Before joining ZKB, Hochberg spent almost two decades at Credit Suisse, working in research, asset management and wealth management both in management functions and as an expert.

She was head of macro research and as such in charge of the macro-economic department of the bank, including all asset classes based on macro-economic strategies. In 2009, Hochberg was named head of investment strategy, responsible for the global investment of discretionary multi-asset solutions.

Reorganization Prompts Departure

In 2013 she was made chief investment officer Europe (including Switzerland) and starting in 2015, she was head of investment services. Most recently, the banker was responsible for sustainable and impact products for institutional and private investors. She was forced to look for a new challenge following a reorganization at Credit Suisse.
