As the wealth management arm of Rothschild & Co increases its focus on Zurich, it has won a long-serving private banker from a competitor, finews.com reveals.

Rothschild & Co Wealth Management is hiring Andreas Feller to head its Swiss onshore business, effective April 1, according to a confirmed memo seen by finews.com.

Feller will report to Heinz Nesshold, head of private banking in Zurich, to whom he will also serve as deputy.

The private banking veteran most recently worked for Julius Baer where he was head of German-speaking Switzerland.

«This is a very important appointment for us as we focus on accelerating the growth of our business in Zurich,» Laurent Gagnebin, CEO of Rothschild & Co’s Wealth Management business in Switzerland says in the statement.
