The former UBS banker is considered a thought leader in the Metaverse and has become chair of a virtual educational institution.

Martha Boeckenfeld, who is considered a thought leader on the Metaverse, will become a partner and dean of the Metaverse Academy, according to an announcement Tuesday evening. Seen as a successor to the internet and a bridge to the «invisible world,» the Metaverse will allow people to communicate directly and aspires to fundamentally change how people socialize, play, and transact.

But it is not just fun and games, but also a massive business opportunity. According to an estimate by Citi, total revenues related to the Metaverse could reach $13 trillion by 2030.

Metaverse Experience

The Metaverse Academy was founded in April by Swiss digital agency Kuble and is a virtual educational institution providing knowledge and the exchange of ideas around virtually experienceable, interactive parallel worlds.

«With the Metaverse Academy, we are lowering the threshold for entry to the metaverse experience by integrating technical and strategic perspectives that offer both companies and their employees' insight into the possibilities the metaverse holds for their industry,» says Boeckenfeld.
