Deutsche Boerse's Swiss crypto subsidiary is expanding its fund business with new hires. Some specialists come from established financial institutions.

Crypto Finance's new asset management team has hired Robert Steiner, Claudio Carcò and Lukas Jelk as part of sales, finews.com has learned.

The three report to Stefan Schwitter, who has led the Swiss crypto startup's fund business since last April and is tasked with repositioning it with institutional investors.

Schwitter Joined from Seba, one of two licensed crypto banks in Switzerland.

Credit Suisse and UBS 

Steiner is now head of digital asset-denominated fund sales.He previously spent seven years serving banks, family offices and independent asset managers at U.S. fund house Franklin Templeton Investments in Switzerland.

He also worked at Credit Suisse, Partner Reinsurance and consulting firm PWC.

Established Players

Carcò, is working as a senior sales manager. He joins from T. Rowe Price, also an American asset manager. Previously, he worked for independent asset manager Woodman Asset Management, Zurcher Kantonalbank’s subsidiary Swisscanto, US house State Street Global Advisors and UBS.

Jelk is supporting the sales department in business development. He brings several years of experience as an analyst in transaction and investment management in the private equity sector and was co-founder of the firm Peplement.
