The Zurich-based Zwei Wealth wealth continues its rapid expansion by naming another new partner. The expansion abroad also continues.

Oliver Ruch joins Zurich-based wealth advisor Zwei Wealth as a partner and will be responsible for the management of client mandates as wealth officer, according to a statement on Monday.

His appointment comes as the firm is rapidly expanding its partner base. In January, Zwei Wealth announced it appointed Loris Capoferri, Nicolas Debons, and Patrick Kuessenberger as partners, as finews.com reported. That was a mere weeks after the firm co-founded by former UBS chief economist Klaus Wellershoff appointed Daniel Hug to become a partner.

Ruch brings over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, having held positions in Geneva, Frankfurt, New York, and Singapore. He primarily served families and ultra-high-net-worth clients from Europe and Asia in investment banking and private banking. Most recently, Ruch built up the Zurich office of an external asset manager.

Intermediary Services

Demand for independent wealth office advisory services continues to grow strongly, according to Zwei Wealth, and the reason the wealth advisor is looking to add 20 advisors this year to the 40-plus it has now.

According to company information, almost 500 banks and asset managers are represented on the platform, as well as more than six billion francs in assets.

Foreign County Allure

Zwei Wealth operates as an intermediary between the highly regulated asset management industry and clients, without being subject to supervision. This facilitates the forays into new jurisdictions, especially since each can access the technology platform in Switzerland.

Preparations for operations outside of Switzerland are also underway, with a London office planned for autumn to become the firm's third hub after Zurich and Geneva. Preparations are also underway for a move into Germany in the fourth quarter as finews.com reported.

In welcoming Ruth, Zwei Wealth managing director Patrick Mueller said Zwei Wealth «gains another highly experienced wealth manager as a partner. The fact that five senior advisors have already chosen the path with ZWEI Wealth this year confirms the strength of the Wealth Office model.»
