The capital market transaction platform Cosmofunding of the Zurich-based Vontobel is expanding its management team. Two investment bankers have been recruited.

Daniel Zubler and Matthias Jordi (pictured below) are the new co-heads of origination at Cosmofunding and are responsible for client contact and market development, according to an internal memo at Vontobel, the parent of the digital capital market transaction platform, made available to finews.com Friday.

Both Zubler and Jordi are long-serving professionals in bond issues. Zubler was responsible for syndicated bond and equity transactions at Zuercher Kantonalbank (ZKB) for two decades years. Prior to that, he spanned the globe for UBS's corporate banking business, while Jordi served as head of capital markets at Basler Kantonalbank (BKB) the past five years.

The two veterans are now expected to help Cosmofunding, founded in 2018, expand its client coverage on the borrower side and build its collaborations with market participants. Bond issuance by Swiss issuers is the territory of the major Swiss banks, especially UBS and ZKB, and they are expected to defend their businesses vigorously.

According to Cosmofunding, its bond platform has a total issued volume of 28 billion Swiss francs.
