Long-established Dutch wealth manager Van Lanschot Kempen is appointing a new CEO for its Swiss business.

As of July 1, 2024, Daphne Engelke is to become CEO of Van Lanschot Kempen Switzerland. She will succeed Susan Leerkes, who will become Regional Director West at Van Lanschot Kempen Private Banking in the Netherlands.

Engelke will join the wealth manager on March 1, 2024. Her appointment is still subject to regulatory approval, as a press release issued on Wednesday revealed. Engelke joins Van Lanschot Kempen from UBS Wealth Management.

A Wealth of Expertise

Since 2005, she has built up a wide range of experience in management positions, leading both specialist and client-facing teams. Most recently, she was Lead Market Head for the Netherlands and responsible for the ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) segment in the Benelux region as a managing director.

She is also a Senior Family Adviser, advising on matters including family governance and family office setup. The press release reports that coming from a family business background herself, she has extensive personal experience in this area. She and her family have lived in Switzerland for more than 20 years.

Van Lanschot Kempen Switzerland was founded in Zurich in 1995. The asset manager has offices in Zurich and Geneva.
