The consulting segment gets a new, long-tenured head responsible for a business that has almost doubled turnover in the last five years.

After five years of running it, Adam Stanford will hand over the reins of Deloitte Switzerland's consulting business to Yousif Al-Adhami on December 1.

According to a press release issued by the company on Tuesday Adhami has been with Deloitte for 16 years and he was appointed technology advisory leader a year ago and a member of the executive board under CEO Reto Savoia

Near Doubling

Under Stanford, the consulting business became a central pillar of Deloitte's success by almost doubling sales over a five-year period. The number of employees has also grown to over 1,000 and it is now the largest consultant in the country by far, the message indicated.

Deloitte employs a total of 2,800 staff in Switzerland.

Stanford, a managing partner, will continue to play a leading consulting role by focusing on complex projects for financial sector clients.

Deloitte's consulting activities focus on strategically advising clients and providing operational support in the areas of human capital, strategy, analytics and M&A, enterprise technology and performance, customer and marketing and core business operations.
