Cédric Anker has found as new challenge at a private bank, half a year after his surprise departure from Banque Cramer.

Cédric Anker joins Bordier, the 175-year-old Geneva-based private bank, according to a report in «Le Temps» newspaper (behind paywall, in French). The bank appointed him to the executive board, where he will take charge of business development.

Anker is an experienced banker. He started his career at UBS and joined Credit Suisse in 1999. In 2006, he moved to Bank Vontobel and took charge of the Geneva branch of the Zurich-based bank. In 2010, Anker switched to Mirabaud, where he was head of wealth management. In 2017, Cramer appointed him as chief executive.

Adjustment of Growth Strategy

Furthermore, the bank also reported on its business in the first nine months of the year. Bordier increased assets under management by 650 million Swiss francs ($654 million) to 13.5 billion francs.

The bank aims to achieve a 5-percent growth rate of net new money. It will address a younger clientele in future and provide new services in corporate finance and private equity in its bid to achieve the growth target. The business with independent wealth manager is also considered a growth business.
