Lombard Odier’s asset management, which specializes in sustainable investments, has appointed a new fund manager that will take charge of a new absolute-return strategy.

Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM), the Geneva-based private bank’s asset management business, is adding a new strategic approach to its alternatives-platform, it said in a statement on Monday.

Alexis Maubourget will take charge of the new strategy. He is a volatility expert and joins Lombard Odier from Argentière Capital, an investment boutique founded in 2013 by Deepak Gulati, ex-J.P. Morgan.

Uncorrelated Absolute-Return Strategy

Maubourget will be in charge of a new uncorrelated absolute-return strategy at Lombard Odier Investment Managers. The fund manager will take from almost all investment classes and products to pursue his strategy.

The strategy is dubbed «acyclical diversifying alpha via parameters trading». Maubourget will report to Jean-Pascal Porcherot, the CEO of the 1798 alternatives-platform of LOIM.
